THE HEMSWORTH FAMILY - SEPTEMBER 1951   

The photograph was taken at the Reception that was held after the wedding of my parents on 29th September 1951. The location was the grounds of the Brincliffe Oaks Hotel Sheffield and this particular photograph is of my parents together with all the relatives from my mothers side (Hemsworth) of the family. The persons are numbered from left to right starting with

5. Betty Hemsworth (nee Rolfe) - Jack Hemsworth's first wife

9. Harry Hemsworth (son of the late Harry Hemsworth)

11. Mary Capper (nee Milner) - daughter of Constance Milner (nee Hemsworth)

Sydney (2) George (7) Fred (21) Gertrude (23) and Constance (27) were the children of my great grandparents Alonzo and Mary Anne both of whom had died by the time the photo was taken. Incidentally the grounds where the photograph was taken was tarmaced over and is now a Car Park
